We must not be afraid in regards to the overheating because it also has a thermostat. It has a display for the functions : on/off, temperature, keeping warm, protection against overheating. It is easy to use and also to clean up. I love to cook on this plate because it is so rappide; it heats up very quickly, obviously not like an oven.
